UA Information Security received a phishing report this morning.  The email provides the recipient with a username and passcode to use to log into a download area.

If you receive this email, please delete it from your inbox.  Do not click on any links or respond to the email.

If you clicked on a link or provided any other information, please contact your local IT support or the 24/7 IT Support Center (626-8324) as soon as possible.

 

Email text:

7/14/14 Sign in prevented

UA Information Security received a phishing report, with a warning that an attempted log-in was prevented to the recipient's UA NetID account.  While there are grammatical errors and the email address is not from an arizona.edu email address, the link leads to an exact replica of UA's WebAuth page, including information about signing up for NetID+.

7/14/14 Your Employer Ran a Background Check on You

UA Information Security received a phishing report this morning, asking the recipient to click on a link in order to view results of a background check performed by the "employer."

UA Information Security received a phishing report that warned recipients that their mailboxes were full.  They were asked to "clean up" the mailbox by clicking on a link and providing information.
