Greetings from The University of Arizona!

You will be receiving emergency relief funding by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.
Here are instructions on the most efficient way to receive your CARES funds:

1. Double check and update your information on Student Aid Report (SAR) for accuracy
We want your CARES to be as accurate as possible. You can use your SAR to make sure your information is up to date. If you need to make corrections to your CARES, follow the instruction here: UAccess.

2. Verification (if selected by AU or Department of Education)
Again, it is important that your CARES information is accurate. For quality assurance, even if you know your CARES is correct, we may request documentation about the answers you gave on the CARES. If you are selected to provide this information, you will see Checklist Items on your To-Do List and we will notify you by email. If you didn't already, we recommend that you use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool. This can greatly assist with our verification process.

3. Find out more about your Financial Aid eligibility
We recommend that you go to the Federal Student Aid website for more information about federal aid eligibility. Also, feel free to visit our website to learn more about specific financial aid deadlines and programs at UA.

4. Next steps for Awarding
It can sometimes be hard to know where you are in the financial aid process. Our Awarding Process page covers the steps after a student submits their CARES application.

Thanks again and we look forward to working with you this year.

Sincerely,

Student Financial Services
