Phishing

In light of current world events, the Information Security Office is seeing an increase in the number of fraudulent emails and phone calls being reported by the campus community.

Phishing activity has more than doubled recently. Phishers are attempting to lure you with fake job opportunities and gift cards, or by pretending to be a close contact to steal passwords or other private information.

The University has controls in place to protect against phishing but your diligence is important. We urge you to stay alert for scams that are impacting campus by visiting the University’s Phishing Alerts webpage.

If you receive a message that your password has been changed and you did not change it, contact the 24/7 Support Center at 520-626-TECH (8324). You can find many helpful tips and resources on the Information Security website.

We appreciate your support.

Sincerely,

Barry Brummund
Chief Information Officer
